Schaurig-schönes “Escort” Wien
Back from the beyond.
If you have been to Vienna frequently and already know many of the world-famous sights, then we will introduce you to a completely different side of this city – the creepy and beautiful. Start your visit and your Bijou Lady with a visit to the Central Central Cemetery, which is one of the largest cemeteries in Europe with 2.5 km², some 330,000 grave sites, many honorary tombs and beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. Even an own bus line runs on the site, which is the last retreat for many confessions – Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Orthodox and Mormons.
During a walk, you and your bijou lady will be buried in the honorary tombs of many Austrian statesmen and famous artists such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, the composer family Strauss, Falco and Udo Jürgens, as well as many famous architects, inventors and researchers.
If you miss the imperial and royal members of the Habsburg family at the Central Court of Vienna, this has a good reason: they have found their last retirement in the imperial tomb under the Capuchin church in the inner city of Vienna. Since 1633 there have been 149 Habsburgs, among them Empress Maria Theresia, in a magnificent double colonnade with her husband Emperor Franz I Stephan of Lorraine, as well as Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth „Sissi“.
After a warming coffee with a delicious meal in one of the nearby Viennese coffee houses, it becomes alive again – with an inner city center with the theme “ghosts, ghosts and vampires”. From Michaelerplatz it goes across the southern part of the old town, with a fascinating mix of creepy anecdotes and fascinating facts. If the weather is too creepy, so wet and cold in winter, an alternative to this is a visit to Madame Tussaud’s waxworks in the Vienna Prater. Here, with your bijou lady, you will meet Maria Theresia, Ludwig van Beethoven and Udo Jürgens, as well as many more prominent personalities from time to time.
Dinner will take you back to the present. In the classy Do & Co Restaurant at Stephansplatz, the open showrooms with the best flavors from all over the world and the sommelier entice you with fine wines. Whether you choose Asian, sushi and sashimi, fine fish or Viennese specialties – you will be delighted, as well as the dessert at the Park Hyatt Vienna. Because your Bijou lady is already waiting for you to show her how much life and pulsating blood is in her limbs. So then, what are you waiting for?
